Katie Thomson serves as Head Coach for University at Albany's Women's Lacrosse program in Albany, New York.
Katie Thomson returned to the Capital Region and the University at Albany in June 2018 when she was named head coach of the Great Danes women’s lacrosse program. Entering her eighth season in 2026, Thomson has guided UAlbany back to national prominence, capturing multiple America East Conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2025, Thomson led the Great Danes to a 9-10 overall record and a 4-2 mark in America East play, earning them a 3-Seed in the conference tournament and securing the program’s sixth America East title.
