Katie Squires has served as an assistant coach for the University of Delaware men's swimming and diving program in Newark, Delaware, since the fall of 2021. Before joining Delaware, she was aquatics manager at The Bridge Indoor Sports Complex in Bridgeport, West Virginia, where she managed daily operations for the facility's competition, warm-up, and outdoor pools and contributed to the opening of the complex in May 2021. She also supervised lifeguards and swim instructors, coordinated scheduling and events, worked with local high schools, and oversaw the creation of the Mountain State Storm USA Swimming club team. Earlier, she spent two years as recreation coordinator for the City of Bridgeport.
From 2014 to 2018, Squires was assistant swim coach and recruiting coordinator at West Virginia Wesleyan College, working with both the men's and women's teams. In 2018, she was part of a staff that led the men's team to a Mountain East Conference championship and the women's team to a runner-up finish, with the staff earning MEC Men's Coach of the Year honors. A 2009 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan, she holds a bachelor's degree in sports management and later earned a master's in sports management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
