Katie Polk is the head diving coach for the University of Connecticut women's swimming and diving program in Storrs, Connecticut. She made an immediate impact in her first season with the Huskies, helping UConn finish second at the BIG EAST Championships and sending five divers to NCAA Zones. That season, UConn swept the 1-meter podium at the conference meet, with Olivia Denery winning the title, Kate Cooper finishing second, and Darah Ostrom placing third, while Cooper also won the BIG EAST championship in the 3-meter event. Polk was recognized as BIG EAST Diving Coach of the Year, and Cooper was named BIG EAST Diver of the Year.
In her second season, UConn again placed second at the BIG EAST Championships, and four of Polk's divers advanced to NCAA Zones. At the 2025-26 conference meet, she coached Cooper to a third-place finish in the 3-meter competition and guided Denery to a second straight BIG EAST title in the 1-meter dive.
