Katelin Vandevender serves as Assistant Coach for University of Northern Iowa's Women's Basketball program in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Former Panther guard Katelin Vandevender (Oney) completed her fourth season with the Panthers as an assistant coach after the 2024-25 season. Vandevender, a native of Cedar Rapids, was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams and started 33 games and averaged 9.7 points per game in 2010-11.
In her senior season, she led UNI in scoring with 465 points and helped the Panthers reach the 2012 WBI championship game. Vandevender came to UNI from Cleveland State where she was an assistant coach for three seasons. With her assistance, the Vikings went 14-9 in 2020-21 and won the WBI title. In 2019-20, Cleveland State went 21-11 and advanced to the Horizon League semifinals.
