Karl Nonemaker
Associate Head Coach
Karl Nonemaker was named an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Auburn baseball in the fall of 2017 and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in July 2023. Entering his ninth season back on the Plains in 2026, Nonemaker has played a central role in Auburn’s sustained success, particularly in recruiting and player development. He has assembled seven top-15 recruiting classes, including three consecutive top-10 classes from 2024–26. During his tenure, Auburn has produced 18 All-SEC honorees, five All-Americans, and five Freshman All-Americans. In 2022, he was named the American Baseball Coaches Association Division I Assistant Coach of the Year, becoming the first assistant in program history to earn the honor.
Nonemaker oversees Auburn’s infield development, helping the Tigers post a .978 fielding percentage across his eight seasons, including seven of the top nine defensive marks in program history. Twelve Auburn infielders have been drafted during his tenure, with four selected in the top five rounds. He also assists with the offense and has contributed to two College World Series appearances (2019, 2022), multiple Super Regional berths, and consistent NCAA Tournament success. A former freshman All-American and first-team All-SEC outfielder at Vanderbilt, Nonemaker played professionally in the Philadelphia Phillies organization before transitioning into coaching. He and his wife, Katie, have three daughters.
