Kara Nakrasius is the associate head coach and defensive coordinator for the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team in Newark, Delaware. She joined the Blue Hens staff as an assistant coach in August 2022 and was elevated to associate head coach in June 2025. Her work has centered on Delaware's defense and draw control units.
Under Nakrasius, Delaware posted one of the most successful recent stretches in program history. In 2026, the Blue Hens went 13-5 in their first season in the ASUN, finished 8-0 in conference play, and claimed the program's first regular-season conference title since 1999. Delaware led the ASUN and ranked 14th nationally in scoring defense at 8.50 goals allowed per game, holding opponents under 10 goals 11 times. The draw unit also stood out, ranking ninth nationally in draw control percentage at .604 and setting a team record with 262 draw controls. Kennedy Radziul was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, while Ella Rishko and Molly Baumgratz were among the team's top draw specialists.
