Kara Mupo is the head coach of the George Mason University women's lacrosse program in Fairfax, Virginia, a position she has held since May 26, 2020. She became the fifth head coach in program history after serving as offensive coordinator at Ohio State during the shortened 2020 season under former George Mason head coach Amy Bokker.
In 2024, Mupo led George Mason to one of its strongest regular seasons in recent years. The Patriots opened 6-0, finished with 10 wins, and reached the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Championship, marking the program's first trip to that stage since 2019. George Mason also placed three players on Atlantic 10 postseason teams: Shannon Tuozzo earned first-team honors, Daniella Jimenez was selected to the Rookie Team, and Morgan Gunn made the Academic Team.
