Kaitlynn Fratz
Assistant Coach
Kaitlynn Fratz is a native of Accident, Maryland, and is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where she starred as a guard. During her senior season in 2015, she led the Vulcans to a Division II national championship, earning the title of Most Outstanding Player in that tournament. Prior to her time at Maryland, she served as a graduate assistant at Valdosta State from 2015 to 2017, helping the Lady Blazers to a 22–10 record and a Gulf South Conference title in her second season. In summer 2017, Fratz joined the Maryland staff as Director of Recruiting Operations and was promoted to interim assistant coach for the 2018-19 season. In spring 2019, head coach Brenda Frese named her a full-time assistant coach. Since then, she has been part of Maryland’s coaching staff during multiple Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight appearances, and has helped recruit and develop players.
