Kade Bell is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the University of Pittsburgh football program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pat Narduzzi hired Bell in December 2023, and Bell joined Pitt after coordinating prolific offenses at multiple previous stops.
In 2025, Bell oversaw a pass-oriented Pitt offense that helped the Panthers finish 8-5 overall and 6-2 in the ACC. Pittsburgh threw for 3,553 yards and 29 touchdowns, and true freshman quarterback Mason Heintschel became one of the focal points of the season. After enrolling early in January 2025, Heintschel started nine games and went 6-3 as the starter, completing 201 of 316 passes for 2,354 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding two rushing scores. He posted four 300-yard games, including a 400-yard outing against NC State, the first 400-yard passing game by a Pitt quarterback since 2021. Heintschel was a semifinalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, earned ACC Quarterback of the Week honors once, and was selected ACC Rookie of the Week twice. His season included several notable milestones, including a place among the rare freshman quarterbacks in recent major-college football history to combine 400-yard and three-touchdown production in a game.
