Justin Ward returned to his alma mater in June 2025 to take on the role of assistant coach for the Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds men’s lacrosse team. As a standout attackman for Loyola from 2011 to 2014, Ward helped the program capture the NCAA Division I Championship in 2012 and three total NCAA Tournament appearances. He graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (concentration in finance) and was a two-time USILA All-American, Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, and a Dean’s List honoree. Following his playing career, Ward transitioned into coaching, first serving at Georgetown University from 2015 to 2017, where he worked with the attackmen, offensive strategy and extra-man units.
In 2017 he joined the staff at Army West Point, where he played a central role in building high-powered offenses, served as offensive coordinator starting in 2020, and was named recruiting coordinator in 2021. During his tenure the Black Knights recorded a 79-32 win record and multiple Patriot League titles. With his return to Loyola, Ward brings both deep institutional familiarity and a proven track record of offensive innovation and player development, poised to help guide the Greyhounds’ next chapter of success.
