Justin Walker is the head coach of the George Mason University softball program in Fairfax, Virginia. He was appointed to the position in July 2021 after serving as the program's interim head coach during the 2020 campaign, and he joined the George Mason softball staff as an assistant coach in 2018.
Walker opened his tenure as interim head coach by leading the Patriots to an 8-0 start in 2021, the program's best opening since 1983. George Mason finished that season 18-17, giving the team its first winning record since 2014. The Patriots also ranked among the Atlantic 10 leaders in several categories that year, including fewest hits allowed, earned runs allowed, team ERA, opponent batting average, stolen bases, fielding percentage, and shutouts. Rachel Warrens earned A-10 All-Conference Second Team and All-Rookie honors, EJ Bankson received VaSID All-State recognition, and Haellie Gordon was named A-10 Pitcher of the Week.
