Justin Hutson is an Assistant Coach for San Diego State Women's Basketball. A veteran with more than 20 years of Division I coaching experience, he is in his third stint on The Mesa after previous runs with the San Diego State men's program from 2006 to 2011 and 2013 to 2018. In his first two years with the women's program, the Aztecs won at least 25 games each season and captured two Mountain West championships.
Hutson spent six seasons as Fresno State's men's head coach, where he produced two 20-win seasons, won the 2022 Basketball Classic, and was named Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year in 2018-19. He also helped recruit and develop major SDSU men's standouts, coordinated elite defensive units, coached at UNLV, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, and Bakersfield High School, and won two NCAA Division II championships as a player at CSU Bakersfield.
