Justine Sowry is the head field hockey coach at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, where she is in her 16th season leading the Cardinals. Across 20 seasons as a head coach, she has posted a 252-138 overall record, including a 194-107 mark at Louisville, and her teams have reached the NCAA tournament on numerous occasions at both Louisville and UMass.
Sowry took over Louisville's program in December 2010, when she was named the school's eighth head field hockey coach. The job brought her back to a program where she had already spent five seasons as an assistant from 1998 through 2002 under Pam Bustin. In her first year as head coach, Louisville won 10 games with a lineup that included six underclassmen starters, reached the BIG EAST semifinals for the seventh straight season, and produced five all-conference honorees. Hayley Turner was named BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player of the Year, and Turner and Collins earned NFHCA All-West Region recognition.
