Junior Collins joined the University of Connecticut football staff in Storrs, Connecticut, in 2026 as assistant wide receivers coach. He arrived at UConn after serving as offensive coordinator at Mount Union in 2025, when the Raiders went 11-1, led the Ohio Athletic Conference in scoring and total offense, and produced D3football.com All-America first-team selection Giovanni Kenendy. He had previously coached Mount Union's receivers in 2024.
Before returning to Mount Union, Collins spent 2023 with the Indianapolis Colts as part of the Tony Dungy Diversity Coaching Fellows program. He also coached quarterbacks and wide receivers at Mount Union for three seasons earlier in his career. In 2019, he worked at Marietta coaching receivers, offensive skill players, and return specialists, and he later served as manager and head strength and conditioning coach at NST Sports Performance in North Canton, Ohio.
