Julia Mayernik is an assistant softball coach at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), contributing to the continued success of the Lions’ softball program. As a recent graduate from the TCNJ Class of 2024, she transitioned from standout student-athlete to staff coach, bringing firsthand experience of the Lions’ culture and competitive environment to her coaching role. During her collegiate playing career, Mayernik was a catcher and impactful contributor on the field, earning consistent all-conference and all-region honors while helping guide her team in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play. Her deep understanding of the game and connection to the TCNJ community positions her as a valuable mentor and strategist for current student-athletes.
Before joining the TCNJ coaching staff, Mayernik excelled as a multi-sport athlete in high school and continued that competitive drive into her college career, where she was a leader behind the plate and a respected presence in the dugout. Her experience as a former Lion allows her to relate directly to the challenges and aspirations of her players, fostering both performance and personal growth. In her assistant coaching duties, she supports skill development, game preparation, and the day-to-day operations that keep the TCNJ softball program competitive within NCAA Division III.
