JT Gasso serves as Associate Head Coach for University of Oklahoma's Softball program in Norman, Oklahoma. Gasso finished his second season under the title of associate head coach following eight seasons as Oklahoma’s assistant coach. His primary responsibilities are focused on working with OU’s outfielders and the Sooner hitters.
During Gasso’s tenure, the Sooners have won seven Big 12 regular season titles and five Big 12 Tournament crowns, as well as the SEC Regular Season Championship and SEC Tournament Co-Championship in 2025 (the Big 12 tournament was not played during Gasso’s first season, finished in 2019 or played in 2020). During his time the Sooners have made nine Women’s College World Series appearances and winning six national titles. Entering the 2026 season, Gasso’s lineup has produced 7.7 runs per game over his ten seasons directing the hitters while posting a.349/.443/.619 slash line for a 1.062 OPS. OU has blasted 1,043 home runs over that span, has struck out in just 9.4% of their plate appearances and draws walks at an 12.4% clip during his tenure.
