Josh West is an assistant coach for the Villanova University men's soccer program in Villanova, Pennsylvania, a position he has held since joining the staff in the summer of 2022. He arrived at Villanova after serving as director of soccer operations at the University of Pennsylvania during the 2021-22 season.
Before moving to the college ranks, West coached club, varsity boys', and varsity girls' soccer in Virginia and Georgia from 2015 to 2021. At Cedar Shoals High School, he taught special education and mathematics for four years while also serving as girls' varsity head coach and assistant athletics director. He also spent two years as head coach of the Athens United U15 and U16 boys' teams, leading the U15 side to a second-place finish in the Georgia Premier League and guiding the U16 team through consecutive promotions from Classic 3 to Classic 1. Earlier in his career, he coached the junior varsity boys at Jamestown and assisted the varsity team during a state championship season.
