Josh Loeffler brings a deep, proven coaching résumé and winning mindset to his role at the University of Mary Washington. Over his time as a collegiate coach, he has consistently delivered high-performing teams, including a six-year run as head coach at Johns Hopkins University in NCAA Division III where he compiled a 114–27 record and led the program to its first Sweet Sixteen appearance since 2015. His overall head-coaching record stands at 160–40 — roughly an .800 winning percentage — demonstrating his capacity to build and sustain excellence. Prior to Johns Hopkins, he guided Stevens Institute of Technology to 46–13 over two seasons and took the program deep into the Division III post-season. Hailing from West Grove, Pennsylvania, Loeffler has emphasized the development of student-athletes as both competitors and individuals. At UMW, he inherits a program ready to elevate and his vision includes merging academic excellence with competitive ambition. In his personal life, he is married to Helen Leitner (a 2004 graduate of Swarthmore) and the couple have two daughters.
