Jordan Willis
Head Coach
Jordan Willis was hired as the head coach of the Florida Institute of Technology volleyball program in February 2023 and enters his third season leading the Panthers. Through two seasons at Florida Tech, Willis has compiled a 29–31 overall record while overseeing a clear upward trajectory for the program. His first season in 2023 featured early nonconference success, including a 4–0 start at the Rollins College Invitational, and marked a milestone with a regular-season conference sweep of Barry for the first time since 2008. The 2024 season proved to be a breakthrough year, as Willis guided the Panthers to one of the best campaigns in program history with a 20–10 overall record and a 14–6 mark in the Sunshine State Conference. That season produced the most conference wins and the second-highest winning percentage in program history, along with the program’s first two All-Americans in Cordelia Kearns and Chiara Patelli.
Prior to Florida Tech, Willis served as head coach at Davis & Elkins College from 2020 to 2023, where he led the Senators to three Mountain East Conference tournament appearances. He previously spent four seasons as head coach at Otero Junior College, becoming the winningest coach in program history by percentage and leading the Rattlers to their first Region IX championship, a national tournament appearance, and a top-20 national ranking. His earlier coaching experience includes assistant coaching roles at Colorado State–Pueblo and Texas A&M–Kingsville, where he focused on offensive systems, recruiting, and player development. Willis began his coaching career at St. Mary’s College of California, where he also starred as a four-year starting setter. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in physical education, bringing more than two decades of coaching experience to the Panthers’ program.
