Jordan Bar
Assistant Director of Sports Performance Coach
Jordan Bar joined the Duke University Sports Performance staff in the fall of 2016 as Assistant Director of Sports Performance, taking responsibility for the physical training, conditioning, movement screening, and athletic development programs for the women’s tennis team, women’s and men’s golf, and men’s and women’s cross-country programs. Before his arrival at Duke, Bar worked in the public and private strength & conditioning field, supporting elite youth, high school, collegiate athletes and professional athletes across a variety of sports. Bar earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (with a concentration in Spanish Language) from the University of Hartford in 2012, after transferring from Fairfield University where he played soccer as a goalkeeper and won the MAAC Championship in 2008.
He holds multiple certifications: Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), certified through the Functional Movement System (FMS), certified Level 1 weightlifting coach (USA Weightlifting), and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Levels 1 and 2. Bar has a broad athletic background, including playing soccer at the semi-professional level in the U.S. (USL-PDL, NASL) as well as in Europe. At Duke he is also recognized for his four-time club championship wins at the Duke Golf Club in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022.
