Jon Sjogren
Head Coach
Jon Sjogren, Ed.D., has served as the Head Coach of the Rollins College baseball program since the 2005-06 season, becoming the fifth head coach in the history of the Tars’ program. He has guided the team to a 528-447-4 record through the 2025 season and led Rollins to NCAA Tournament appearances in 2010, 2022, and 2023. Under his leadership in 2023, the Tars finished as national runner-up at the Division II Championship in Cary, North Carolina, exceeding expectations after being picked to finish fifth in the Sunshine State Conference preseason poll and setting school records for hits, doubles, and home runs. That season earned Sjogren both SSC Coach of the Year and ABCA South Region Coach of the Year honors.
Sjogren’s tenure at Rollins has been marked by historic postseason success. In 2022, he coached the Tars to a third-place finish at the Division II National Championship, highlighted by a dominant South Region performance and several individual honors for his players. Prior to Rollins, he was head coach at Bryant University for 15 seasons, where he built a strong program that won multiple Northeast-10 Conference titles and made several NCAA Tournament appearances. A former collegiate player at Florida Southern and Bryant, Sjogren also holds a doctorate in education and has been recognized regionally and nationally for his coaching achievements.
