Jon Moseley
Head Coach
Jon Moseley was named the seventh head coach in University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball history on November 18, 2020, and enters the 2025 season in his sixth year leading the program. Since arriving in Huntsville, Moseley has guided the Chargers to significant success in the Gulf South Conference. In 2023, he led UAH to its first GSC Championship Match appearance since 1997, compiling a perfect 11-0 home record and a 13-3 mark in conference play. The Chargers returned to the title match in 2024 following a 16-4 GSC record. In 2021, his first traditional fall season, UAH advanced to the NCAA South Regional and finished second in the GSC standings with a 21-10 overall record. During the abbreviated spring 2021 season, Moseley led the Chargers to the GSC Spring Championship Series title.
Moseley brought extensive Gulf South Conference experience to UAH, previously serving 14 combined seasons at Shorter and West Georgia. In 18 total collegiate seasons, he has compiled a 392-185 career record, a .679 winning percentage. At West Georgia, he guided the Wolves to a GSC Tournament Championship game appearance in 2019. Throughout his Division II coaching career, Moseley has mentored two NCAA All-Americans, 19 All-GSC selections, seven Academic All-GSC honorees, and 157 GSC Academic Honor Roll recipients. A Vanderbilt graduate, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1993 and later completed a Master of Education in Secondary Education in 1998.
