Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach - Recruiting Coordinator
Jon Cohen was elevated to an on-field assistant coaching role at Johns Hopkins on June 28, 2024, following four years as the Blue Jays’ Director of Lacrosse Operations. In his new capacity, Cohen works closely with the faceoff specialists and assists defensive coordinator Jamison Koesterer with defensive strategy, player development, and practice and game planning. He also holds responsibilities as the program’s recruiting coordinator.
Prior to his coaching assignment, Cohen amassed a long tenure with Major League Lacrosse’s Denver Outlaws organization, where he held roles including assistant coach/assistant general manager and director of player personnel, eventually becoming general manager before departing to join Hopkins. He began in lacrosse operations at Johns Hopkins in 2020, managing video operations, recruiting logistics, and program operations before moving into his current role. Cohen is a 2009 graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he earned a degree in hospitality management and played club lacrosse.
