John Hampton is the associate head coach for George Washington University women's basketball in Washington, D.C. He joined the GW staff as an assistant coach in 2025 and moved into the associate head coach position before the 2026-27 season.
In his first year with the Revolutionaries, Hampton was part of a season that produced 18 wins. George Washington also posted 13 home victories, its highest total since 2014-15, and made a notable postseason run by winning three WNIT games to reach the Great Eight. That performance marked the program's deepest WNIT advancement and matched its highest postseason tournament win total since 1996-97.
