John Garrison serves as Assistant Coach/Offensive Line/Running Game Coordinator for University of Mississippi's Football program in University, Mississippi. John Garrison joined the Ole Miss football program as offensive line coach and running game coordinator prior to the 2022 Texas Bowl. Garrison led an offensive line group in 2023 that paved the way for a high-flying Ole Miss offense that finished 13th nationally at 461.9 yards per game and 16th nationally at 35.1 points per game.
Garrison's offensive line unit blocked for a Rebel squad in 2024 that shattered program records in total offense (6,845), yards per play (7.3), passing yards (4,561) and passing yards per game (350.8). In the Peach Bowl, James tied the all-time Ole Miss career record in starts with 49 heading into his final season in 2024.
