Joe Turner
Associate Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Joe Turner joined the Queens men’s lacrosse staff in July 2023, arriving from Mars Hill University where he was head coach for two seasons. During his time at Mars Hill, he led the program to back-to-back seasons with their highest single-season win totals since 2016, while guiding players to all-conference honors and a USILA All-South Region selection. Prior to taking the helm at Mars Hill, Turner served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Alabama Huntsville, during which he helped lead the program to its first Peach Belt Conference Tournament appearance and championship berth, and mentored several All-PBC performers.
He also spent four seasons at Wingate University as offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator; while on staff, the Bulldogs captured three straight SAC championships and made multiple NCAA appearances. His coaching career began at the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minnesota) as an offensive assistant, followed by two seasons as offensive coordinator at his alma mater Dowling College. Turner graduated from Dowling in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in business management and leadership.
