Joe Rutigliano is an assistant coach and chief strategist for the St. John's women's basketball program in Queens, New York, having rejoined the staff in May 2025 for his second stint with the Red Storm.
Rutigliano previously worked at St. John's from 2021 to 2024, including the final two seasons of that stretch as an assistant coach. Before returning to Queens, he spent the 2024-25 season at New Hampshire as the lead assistant coach under first-year head coach Megan Shoniker. New Hampshire recorded its first double-digit win total in five years, and Rutigliano contributed to the team's offensive approach while working with Eva DeChent, who was named the America East Newcomer of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection after leading the league in scoring.
