Joe Gingras is the associate head coach for cross country and a coach for track and field at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. He entered his 23rd season with the program and his 10th season as associate head coach of cross country, giving him more than two decades with Vermont's cross country and track and field teams.
Over his tenure, Vermont won three America East Conference championships and one New England championship. Gingras coached 21 America East champions, four NCAA All-Region performers, and three NCAA qualifiers across cross country and track and field. His athletes combined for 83 All-America East performances and set 61 school records. He also coached 75 percent of the athletes on Vermont's all-time top-10 lists in men's distance and middle-distance track events.
