Joe Elliott is the head coach of the Hofstra University men's golf program in Hempstead, New York, and completed his 17th season in the position in 2024-25 after his appointment in August 2008. A PGA Professional for more than 20 years, Elliott has also served as assistant golf professional at Garden City Country Club since June 1996 and has spent more than 15 years working with Metropolitan PGA and Junior PGA programs.
Under Elliott, Hofstra returned to tournament-winning form in 2024-25, capturing two team titles for the program's first wins since 2016-17. The Pride also posted two additional top-10 finishes that season, while freshman Jacob Vazquez won the Adelphi Panther Invitational and Eugene Kang placed second at the same event. In 2023-24, Hofstra competed in 10 events, with Gavin Clarke recording a top-10 finish at the Adelphi Panther Invitational and Kang shooting a season-best 71 in the final round of the Coastal Athletic Association Championship. Hofstra produced seven top-10 tournament finishes in 2022-23, highlighted by Dino Capazario's victory at the Roar-EE Invitational and his five top-10 results in 11 events, and in 2021-22 Capazario added three top-10 and two top-five finishes in five tournaments after joining the team midyear.
