Jocelyn Lawrence is the Head Coach of the Bellevue College volleyball program, recently completing her twelfth season leading the Bulldogs after taking over in 2014. Prior to becoming head coach, she spent three seasons as an assistant from 2011 to 2013. Under her leadership, Bellevue has emerged as one of the premier programs in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), consistently finishing among the top teams in the region. Lawrence has guided the Bulldogs to multiple top-five finishes and four consecutive region titles through 2024, establishing a culture of sustained excellence and competitiveness.
Lawrence’s tenure has been marked by strong player development and team success. She has coached numerous AVCA All-Americans in recent years and helped many athletes advance to four-year collegiate programs, including NCAA Division I schools. In 2025, Bellevue reached the NWAC Championship match, finishing as runner-up while maintaining a top-two national ranking throughout the season. Her earlier successes include a runner-up finish in 2017 and multiple strong postseason appearances. As a former standout player at Hesston College, where she earned NJCAA All-American honors, Lawrence brings both playing and coaching experience to her role. She continues to emphasize development, discipline, and competitive excellence while balancing her role as a coach and mother of four.
