Jim Rhein serves as Head Coach for University of Tulsa's Women's Soccer program in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rhein took over the reins of the Tulsa women’s soccer program prior to the 2021 campaign after 13 years on the staff. Heading into this fifth season as head coach and 18th season overall in 2025, Rhein was named as an assistant coach in 2008, was promoted to associate head coach in 2013, took over as interim head coach in 2021 and now serves as the head coach beginning with the 2022 season.
During his tenure, the Golden Hurricane has compiled a 133-145-41 overall mark and a 25-34-14 record in conference play with Rhein as head coach. 24 student-athletes have earned all-conference honors, three were tabbed to the conference all-tournament team, Rachel Thun was selected as The American Rookie of the Year (2014) and Midfielder of the Year (2016), Jordan O’Brien was tabbed as the Conference USA Freshman of the Year (2010), 23 players received all-Rookie/Freshman accolades and five picked up NSCAA All-Region honors. TU put together seven wins in the 2024 season and made it to the American Conference Championship in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2014-15. Leah Diaz took home AAC Second Team All-Conference, Blaine Schutte grabbed Third Team All-Conference and All-Freshman Team and Aniya Facen was tabbed to the All-Freshman Team.
