Jimmy Jackson is the assistant coach and pitching coach for the University of Maryland baseball program in College Park, Maryland. A Maryland native with more than 15 years of college coaching experience, he was hired on June 16, 2023, after serving as associate head coach and pitching coach at James Madison.
At Maryland, Jackson has been part of a staff that reached several program milestones and recorded wins over ranked opponents. The Terrapins posted a 34-22 record in his first season, matching the program's sixth-highest single-season win total, while setting a school record with 13 one-run victories and tying the single-season mark with 19 road wins. Maryland later earned its 800th win at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium with a victory over James Madison and recorded ranked wins over Wake Forest, Oregon, and USC. The program also reached its 2,000th all-time win with a victory over Indiana on April 12. Jackson also coached Kyle McCoy to All-Big Ten Third Team honors in 2025.
