Jesse Haislip
Assistant Coach
Jesse Haislip joined the men’s soccer coaching staff at Loyola University Maryland in the summer of 2021. A Baltimore native and former standout goalkeeper, Haislip brings a wealth of championship-level club coaching experience to the Greyhounds.
In his role at Loyola, Haislip has been responsible for working closely with the team’s goalkeepers; for example, he coached Dylan Van der Walt, who earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors in 2023. Prior to joining Loyola, Haislip coached with FC Baltimore Christos in the National Premier Soccer League, helping the team capture the NPSL Mid-Atlantic Conference title in 2019. He also spent five years with club powerhouse Baltimore Celtic, where he was part of a pair of national-championship winning squads.
As a player, Haislip was the goalkeeper for Andover High School during its Maryland state-championship run in 1989, and he went on to play collegiate soccer at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). After graduation, he and his brothers founded Christos FC, an amateur club that achieved national recognition—among other feats they advanced to face DC United in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Haislip continues to play and coach with Christos FC’s over-30 and over-50 squads, adding depth to his understanding of player development across ages. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UMBC.
