Jesse Bernhardt
Assistant Coach
Jesse Bernhardt returned to the University of Maryland lacrosse program prior to the 2014 season in a volunteer assistant role, assisting with the Terps’ defensive schemes, man-down unit, and faceoff wing assignments. As a player, he was a standout long pole midfielder for Maryland from 2010 to 2013, earning All-America honors multiple times. During his senior year, he helped Maryland reach NCAA tournament success and accumulated accolades including USILA First Team All-American status. After his collegiate career, Bernhardt went on to play professionally in Major League Lacrosse and later in the Premier Lacrosse League, while also rising in the coaching ranks. Over time, he has become one of the defensive leaders in college lacrosse, serving as Maryland’s Defensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach, shaping defensive philosophies and training top-level defenders.
