Jerrod Roh
Associate Head Coach
Jerrod Roh enters his 12th season with the University of Alabama soccer program in 2025, serving as associate head coach after joining the staff in 2014. Roh works closely with head coach Wes Hart in personnel management and tactical preparation, with a primary emphasis on defensive organization, goalkeeper development, and opponent scouting. He also directs the Roll Tide Soccer Academy camps, coordinates recruiting visits, and plays a central role in talent identification. During his tenure, Alabama has reached four NCAA Tournaments, including back-to-back appearances and a landmark 2022 season that featured the program’s first SEC regular-season title, a College Cup appearance, and a No. 2 national ranking. The staff earned NCAA Division I Southeast Region Staff of the Year honors that season while setting multiple program records, including 23 wins and 12 shutouts.
Roh has been instrumental in developing elite goalkeepers, including McKinley Crone, who set school records for single-season and career wins and tied the career shutouts mark. Prior to Alabama, Roh coached at Minnesota, Kentucky, Western Carolina, and Hamline, helping guide conference championship teams at multiple Division I programs. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Roh earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State, where he was a three-year starter, and later completed his MBA at Western Carolina. He holds a USSF “A” Coaching License along with advanced national diplomas in coaching and goalkeeping.
