Jenny Topping is an assistant coach for the Oregon State softball program, joining the staff in July 2025 after previously coaching at Cal State Fullerton. She brings elite-level playing and coaching experience to the Beavers, contributing to player development and overall program growth. As part of the coaching staff, Topping supports offensive instruction and mentoring, helping Oregon State continue to build on its competitive presence in the Pac-12 and nationally. Her addition reflects the program’s commitment to bringing in coaches with high-level playing credentials and international experience.
Topping enjoyed a distinguished playing career, highlighted by winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2004 Olympic Games. A four-time All-American during her collegiate career at Cal State Fullerton and the University of Washington, she was one of the most accomplished hitters of her era. She led Fullerton to multiple conference championships while posting exceptional offensive numbers and ranking among the program’s all-time leaders in several categories. Following college, she continued her career professionally in the United States and internationally, including time in Japan, and earned induction into the Cal State Fullerton Athletics Hall of Fame. Her extensive playing background at the highest levels of the sport provides valuable insight and mentorship to Oregon State’s student-athletes.
