Jeff Quinney is an assistant coach for the University of Oregon men’s golf program, bringing elite playing experience and a strong developmental background to the Ducks’ coaching staff. A former PGA Tour professional and U.S. Amateur champion, Quinney joined Oregon ahead of the 2021–22 season and has played a key role in sustaining the program’s national competitiveness. During his tenure, Oregon has continued its streak of NCAA Regional appearances while earning multiple tournament victories and top finishes, including success in conference play and postseason competition. Quinney has contributed significantly to player development, helping guide student-athletes to all-conference recognition and strong individual performances at major collegiate events.
Before entering coaching, Quinney enjoyed a decorated playing career at both the amateur and professional levels. He won the 2000 U.S. Amateur Championship while competing at Arizona State, where he was a two-time All-American and three-time all-conference selection. Quinney later competed on the PGA Tour from 2007 to 2011, recording multiple top-10 finishes and reaching as high as No. 48 in the Official World Golf Rankings. His professional résumé also includes victories on the Nationwide and Canadian Tours. A native of Eugene, Oregon, Quinney brings local ties, high-level competitive experience, and mentorship ability to the Oregon program, helping shape the next generation of collegiate golfers.
