Jeff Gibson is the head coach of Duquesne University's men's and women's cross country and track and field programs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He entered his fifth season as head coach in 2025-26 and his 11th year on the Duquesne staff overall.
Gibson was promoted to head coach in July 2021 after joining the Dukes as a volunteer assistant in December 2015. He moved into a full-time assistant position in August 2019 and took over the program two years later. Before arriving at Duquesne, he spent four and a half years at Robert Morris, where he coached distance events and served as interim cross country head coach in 2015. That staff helped Robert Morris finish as the Northeast Conference runner-up and was recognized as the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year. Earlier in his career, Gibson was a longtime assistant at Canon-McMillan High School, where he worked with a boys program that won two WPIAL team championships and eight section titles while producing multiple PIAA medalists and WPIAL champions.
