Jeff Dugdale
Associate Athletic Director of Creative Services & Director of Swimming
Jeff Dugdale leads Queens University of Charlotte’s men’s and women’s swimming programs while serving as Associate Athletic Director of Creative Services. Now in his 15th season (2024–25), he has guided the Royals to 14 NCAA team championships and 124 individual NCAA titles, with 735 All-American swims and 142 Scholar-All-Americans credited to the program during his tenure. In Queens’ Division I era, Dugdale steered the men to the 2025 ASUN Conference Championship and was named ASUN Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year, adding to numerous Bluegrass Mountain and CSCAA national honors amassed in Division II. His teams have routinely broken conference and school records—most recently ASUN marks in the 50 and 100 free and the 200 free relay—and produced Olympians and World Championship competitors while maintaining strong academic performance.
Before joining Queens, Dugdale coached at Duke and with SwimMAC Team Elite, contributing to U.S. Olympic Team placements and world-level medals. He was promoted to Queens’ athletics administration in 2016 and again in subsequent years, supporting creative services and departmental initiatives while retaining leadership of swimming. A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dugdale swam at Auburn, graduating with a degree in health and human performance. His coaching philosophy—developing leaders for life while competing for championships—has become a defining hallmark of Queens Swimming and a driver of the program’s successful transition to Division I. He resides in Charlotte with his family and remains a visible ambassador for the university through community features and media appearances.
