Jeff Beckles is the assistant running backs coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst football program in Amherst, Massachusetts. He entered his second season with UMass in 2026 after joining the Minutemen in August 2025.
Before arriving at Massachusetts, Beckles coached running backs at Ball State in 2024. He previously spent nine seasons at Middle Tennessee, where he oversaw a productive rushing attack that averaged nearly 192 yards per game in 2016. Among the players he coached there were First Team All-Conference USA selection I'Tavius Mathers, who set the school's single-season rushing record with 1,561 yards and became one of the few FBS players to post 1,500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in the same year, and All-Freshman honoree Chaton Mobley. He also helped turn former linebacker Tavares Thomas into Middle Tennessee's leading rusher in 2017.
