Jay Shoop serves as Assistant Coach/Inside Linebackers for University of Mississippi's Football program in University, Mississippi. Shoop joined Ole Miss in 2023 and was a defensive graduate assistant at Ole Miss during his first two seasons in Oxford, prior to taking on senior analyst duties in 2025. Jay Shoop is entering his fourth year in Oxford and his first as an assistant coach, taking over inside linebacker duties.
The 2026 campaign marks Shoop’s first season as an assistant coach at the NCAA level.
