Jaylyn Duran
Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Jaylyn Duran is in her second season as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Colorado Mesa University (CMU), where she works with shooting guards, drives individual player development, and supports Head Coach Taylor Wagner and Assistant Hannah Pollart in all aspects of the program. She played collegiately at CMU from 2015–2019, finishing her career with 1,352 points (eighth in program history) and becoming the school’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made (265). As a senior she averaged 18.6 points per game, was named the RMAC Player of the Year, and was honored as a WBCA Honorable Mention All-America and D2CCA Second Team All-America.
A native of Pueblo, Colorado, Duran previously served as an assistant coach at CSU Pueblo before returning to CMU. She holds a degree in Kinesiology/Fitness & Health Promotion from Colorado Mesa. Her experience as a standout player at her alma mater, combined with her coaching exposure, positions her to contribute strongly to the Mavericks’ women’s basketball staff.
