Jaylen Guy
Assistant Coach
Jaylen Guy begins his first season as assistant baseball coach at UNC Pembroke for the 2025-26 academic year. He joins the Braves after one season as an assistant at Florida Southern College, where he served as first-base coach, worked with outfielders and hitters, and helped organize scouting reports.
Guy played collegiately from 2020–23 at Liberty University, starting 179 games and building a strong offensive and defensive resume, then used his extra year of eligibility at the University of Florida in 2024, where he appeared in 38 games for a Gators team that reached the College World Series. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (psychology and sports management focus) from Liberty in 2021 and a graduate certificate in human health and performance from Florida in 2024. With his recent playing experience at the Division I level and his work with position players and hitters, Guy brings fresh insight into recruiting, player development, and analytics to the Braves’ program.
