Jay Hosack is the head coach of the George Mason University men's volleyball team in Fairfax, Virginia, a position he has held since his appointment on August 25, 2015. Entering his 11th season in 2026, he became the fifth head coach in program history and has led George Mason to multiple EIVA championship appearances, regular postseason contention, and repeated national rankings.
Hosack made an immediate impact in his first season. In 2016, George Mason won the EIVA Championship for the first time since 1988 and earned its first NCAA Tournament berth in nearly 30 years. The Patriots finished that season ranked No. 11 in the AVCA poll, and Hosack was named the Bob Sweeney EIVA Coach of the Year. He received the same honor again in 2018 after guiding Mason to a 13-1 conference record, the program's first modern-era EIVA regular-season title, and the longest conference winning streak in school history.
