Jason Rutherford

Jason Rutherford serves as an assistant coach for the Alabama A&M University volleyball program, contributing to the Bulldogs’ development within the Southwestern Athletic Conference. In his role, Rutherford assists with daily training sessions, match preparation, scouting analysis, and recruiting coordination. He works closely with student-athletes to enhance technical skills, positional awareness, and overall competitive readiness, while supporting the program’s emphasis on academic accountability and character development. Rutherford brings a strong background in volleyball instruction and team development, emphasizing discipline, communication, and consistency. As part of the coaching staff in Huntsville, Alabama, he collaborates with the head coach and fellow assistants to build structured practice plans and effective game strategies. Through hands-on mentorship and program support, Rutherford plays a key role in fostering a competitive and growth-oriented culture for Alabama A&M volleyball.
