Jason Jackson
Associate Head Coach
Jason Jackson has been a driving force behind Alabama baseball’s pitching success since joining the Crimson Tide staff in 2017. Initially hired as pitching coach, he was named interim head coach in May 2023 before being promoted to associate head coach later that summer. Entering his ninth season on staff in 2025–26, Jackson continues to direct Alabama’s pitching development while serving in a leadership role within the program. In 2025, his staff recorded 536 strikeouts, the sixth-most in program history, and helped lead the Tide to a 41-18 record. His pitchers have consistently ranked among the SEC’s best in ERA, strikeout-to-walk ratio, and opponent batting average. In 2023, he earned ABCA/Marines National Assistant Coach of the Year honors after guiding Alabama to an NCAA Super Regional appearance.
Jackson has developed numerous professional arms, helping Alabama pitchers secure significant MLB Draft success, including multiple first-round selections in recent years. Before Alabama, he spent nine seasons at Florida Atlantic, rising to associate head coach and helping the Owls capture multiple conference titles and NCAA Regional berths. He also held coaching roles at South Alabama, Mercer, and North Florida Community College. A Tallahassee, Florida, native, Jackson earned both his bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in sports administration from Florida State University. He and his spouse, Katie, have three children: Kinsey, Haylee, and Tyler.
