Jason Dowiak is the head coach of the University of Massachusetts Amherst women's soccer program in Amherst, Massachusetts, a position he has held since 2017. By the end of his eighth season in 2025, he had guided UMass to 70 wins, two appearances in the Atlantic 10 championship match, consecutive conference semifinal berths not seen by the program since 2000, and the chance to host an A-10 quarterfinal for the first time since 2011.
UMass posted some of its strongest results of the past two decades under Dowiak. His 2024 team finished 13-5-3 overall and 6-2-2 in Atlantic 10 play, giving the Minutewomen their highest win total of his tenure and the program's most victories since 2011. That season UMass earned the No. 3 seed in the A-10 tournament, hosted a quarterfinal for the second straight year, advanced through Loyola Chicago to the semifinals, and then reached the conference final. Massachusetts also closed the 2024 regular season ranked No. 42 in the RPI. Bella Recinos repeated as A-10 Midfielder of the Year, becoming the first player in program history to win that award in back-to-back seasons, while Recinos and Ella Curry earned all-region recognition.
