James Enzler
Head Coach
James Enzler was named Interim Head Coach of the Seton Hall University women’s tennis program on January 6, 2023, before being appointed to the position full time on April 12, 2023. A former assistant coach for three seasons under Kevin McGlynn, Enzler stepped into the leadership role with familiarity and continuity within the program. During his time as an assistant, he contributed to one of the team’s most successful recent campaigns in 2018–19, when the Pirates posted a 13-9 overall record and a 5-4 mark in BIG EAST play—the program’s highest win total since 2004–05. That season also saw two student-athletes earn All-BIG EAST honors.
Prior to his head coaching appointment, Enzler served as a tennis professional and UTR tournament coordinator at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness in New Providence, New Jersey, where Seton Hall hosts most of its home matches. He has also worked as a tennis instructor at the US Sports Institute. A 2016 graduate of Midland University, Enzler was a four-year varsity tennis player and a two-time All-GPAC honorable mention selection in doubles, as well as a two-time Scholar-Athlete honoree. Through the 2024–25 season, he has guided the Pirates to steady progress, highlighted by a 12-12 overall record in 2024–25 and an improved BIG EAST Tournament finish.
