James (Jimmy) Davis

James "Jimmy" Davis is the head coach of the George Mason University men's tennis program in Fairfax, Virginia, and is in his 12th season leading the Patriots. He has compiled 89 wins as head coach and has overseen several of the program's notable milestones. George Mason reached a new level in 2025-26 under Davis, finishing 10-7 and earning the program's first ITA national team ranking at No. 72. The season included the team's first double-digit win total since 2018-19, a five-match winning streak, victories over Navy, Villanova, and Atlantic 10 champion Richmond, and the highest Atlantic 10 Championship seed in program history at No. 4. The Patriots also collected four Atlantic 10 postseason honors, including league rookie recognition for Edgar Vilain, while Deniz Okyay and Monil Lotlikar received all-conference honors and Okyay and Niza Simunyola were recognized academically.
