Sylas Elliott serves as the head coach of the Jacksonville State men’s golf program, leading the Gamecocks in NCAA Division I competition. As head coach, Elliott oversees all aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, tournament preparation, scheduling, and academic progress. He is responsible for building a competitive roster capable of contending within Conference USA while maintaining the academic and character standards of the university. His leadership emphasizes skill refinement, strategic course management, and mental preparation necessary to compete at the highest collegiate level.
Under Elliott’s direction, Jacksonville State men’s golf focuses on sustained growth and competitive consistency. He works closely with student-athletes to enhance individual performance through structured practice plans, statistical analysis, and tournament evaluation. Elliott also manages recruiting efforts aimed at attracting talented golfers who align with the program’s culture and long-term vision. His role reflects a commitment to elevating the Gamecocks’ presence in conference and national competition while fostering personal and athletic development among his players.
